Millbrook School’s computing program fully meets the requirements of the 2014 new curriculum in computing.

We have two class sets of laptops as well as a set of chromebooks and some tablets. This means pupils don’t have to share and can work individually on projects.

As well as incorporating word processing apps into pupils work, we also ensure pupils use and understand spreadsheets and publishing software.

Pupils use many educationally based apps to support their learning, especially in mathematics and reading.

We deliver coding in many different ways, including espresso coding, flowol (a kind of flow chart based package), as well as writing code for robotics with older pupils. Programming your robot to play football is very engaging!
