At Millbrook Primary School we try to make learning interesting and engaging, purposeful and fun. In this way we hope to nurture the children’s self-esteem and confidence so that progress and attainment in all areas of the curriculum will follow.
The parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke chapter 15 vs 3-6) underpins our vision and demonstrates that each individual within our community is unique and precious. Our school is a place where every person has the right to be themselves, to be included and to learn in a safe and happy environment. Everyone at our school is equal and treats each other with respect and kindness.
Our 12 Christian Values are at the heart of everything we do. Although these are our ‘Christian Values’, the children have discussed how these can be seen as ‘life values’ for anyone from any, or no, faith.
During Collective Worship each week, we focus on one of these 12 Christian Values and listen to Bible stories, discussing and reflecting on how these stories remind us and teach us how to live together peacefully.
At Millbrook Primary School we believe in ‘community’. Over the last 100 years the school has established strong links with the local community and we pride ourselves on our unique identity.
